Molly Routt
President
Molly (she/they) has been hanging around OUTsider in various queerpacities since 2015 and brings a background in film production, nonprofit program management, and talent development. At work, she gets excited about helping organizations be strategic about their workforce learning and development, especially when it comes to equity and inclusion. At play, Molly gets excited about dance protests and learning Spanish.

Jina Chung
Treasurer
Jina Chung is a veteran fundraiser with over fifteen years of experience supporting independent media. She is a fierce advocate of Community-Centric Fundraising and helps mission-driven organizations use fundraising models rooted in equity and social justice to support their vision. She has worked in many different roles, including leading a progressive audio journalism organization, Frequencies of Change Media, and serving as the Development Director for Color Congress and the Senior Director of Development & Partnerships at the International Documentary Association. As a nonprofit consultant (Tokki Consulting), she has a strong affinity and passion for building organizational and fundraising capacity for small arts and media organizations. Outside work, Jina enjoys spending her free time collecting stationery and journaling.

Kollin Goodnough (He/They) is an Austin-based operations leader and advocate for creating welcoming spaces where people can connect and thrive. They currently serve as a Clinic Manager, where he leads teams, builds organizational systems, and supports meaningful client experiences through compassionate leadership. With a background spanning wellness, hospitality, and small business operations, Kollin brings 10+ years of experience in team development, event coordination, and community-centered programming.

Angelica McAuley
Community Outreach Director
Angelica McAuley (she/her/Grrrl) is a vibrant Austin-based queer mystic, performer, DJ, and holistic lifestyle educator with a passion for creativity, healing, and liberation. Angelica is deeply committed to LGBTQIA+ visibility, empowerment, and community building. As an artistic collaborator, volunqueer, and organizer, Angelica has had the honor of being a contributing artist and rallying the crowd at events like Queer Bomb, OUTsider Festival, Chunky Dunk, Austin Dyke March, Glamp Glamp, Dykes You Should Know, Lesbian Wedding, and Rainbow Over the Creek. With a flair for blending art and advocacy, she brings heart, magic, and intention to every space she touches.

Laura G. Gutiérrez (she/her/ella/they/elle) is an educator, researcher, and curator. As OUTsider Artistic Director, Gutiérrez leads a team in the creative programming of the organization’s events.

Lauren Yap
Co-Artistic Director
Lauren Yap (they/them) is a Filipino filmmaker, producer, and curator. Regardless of medium, they pursue projects that focus on artist collaboration and accessibility for qtbipoc and disabled folx. They officially joined the OUTsider team in 2024 as the associate artistic director, and currently work alongside Laura as co-artistic directors. -

Chris Gwillim
Development Director
Chris Gwillim is a performance studies scholar, arts advocate, curator and social practitioner. Gwillim's work focuses on transnational exchange through performing arts festivals and equity in arts funding. Writings have appeared in Performance Matters, ODBK, Sightlines, and Glasstire among others, alongside writing residencies with Fusebox Festival, Time-Based Art Festival at Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, Concept Animals, and Deeply Fascinating. Gwillim's social practice and curatorial work has been featured at OUTsider Fest, the High Museum and Alliance Theatre, the Blanton Museum of Art, the Visual Art Center, The Kitchen, Moiety, and universities throughout the United States. Gwillim holds a PhD in performance studies from the University of Texas at Austin with certificates in LGBTQ+ studies, Museum Studies, and Integrated Behavioral Health.

Curran Nault
Artistic Director EmQueerItus
Curran Nault is the Founder and former Artistic/Executive Director of OUTsider (2013-2024). Previously, he was the Artistic Director of aGLIFF (the Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival) (2011-13) and the Co-Founder and Director of Programming of AAAFF (the Austin Asian American Film Festival) (2007-11). Nault is also an Assistant Professor in Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas at Austin.

PJ Raval
Founding Board President
PJ Raval (he/him) is a queer, first generation Filipinx American filmmaker whose documentary work includes CALL HER GANDA (2020 Excellence in Documentary NLGJA Association of LGBTQ Journalists), BEFORE YOU KNOW IT (PBS) and Trinidad (Showtime). His provocative collaboration with queer performance artist and human pissoir, CHRISTEENE, has been described as “something you desperately wish you could un-see” (Hollywood Reporter) MmmHmm…PJ is a Guggenheim Fellow, member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, and a founding member of OUTsider.
