Heyd Fontenot


Heyd Fontenot (born 1964, Lake Charles, Louisiana) is director of CentralTrak, an international artists’ residency program and exhibition space located in Dallas, Texas. Previous to this current post as an arts administrator and curator, he occupied a variety of creative roles including designing for theater, commercials and film.  Fontenot is an active artist and experimental filmmaker who’s mid-career survey, “The Very Queer Portraits of Heyd Fontenot” which originated at The University of Maryland (College Park) traveled onto Rollins College (Winter Park, Florida) and Allegheny College (Meadville, Pennsylvania).  He is represented by Conduit Gallery in Dallas and by Inman Gallery in Houston.
