Internationally renowned performance artist and unlikely Work of Art star, Nao Bustamante, unveils her wildly unpredictable artistry in historical overview.
Nao Bustamante currently holds the position of Associate Professor and Vice Dean of Art at the USC Roski School of Art and Design. Bustamante’s precarious work encompasses performance art, video installation, visual art, filmmaking, and writing, and she has presented in galleries, museums, universities and underground sites all around the world. She has exhibited, among other locales, at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Sundance Festival, Utah; and the Kiasma Museum of Helsinki, Finland. Her movies have been shown at Outfest in Los Angeles; Mix in New York City; Sundance International Film Festival; among many others. Bustamante was a Benson Research Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin in 2013.
